33 new book launches at Lit Fest: 10 books of 8 Goans

The 4th Goa Arts and Literary Festival (GALF) will witness 33 book launches – all new – in four days, including 10 books belonging to eight Goans.
The major books launches, as mentioned in the GALF press release, are Meera Kosambi’s book on her father and great Indian scholar D D Kosambi, titled “Unsettling the Past: D D Kosambi.”
The other equally acclaimed new books are Chetan Raj Shrestha’s “The King of Harvest”, Prajwal Parajuly’s “Land Where I Flee”, Gaiutra Bahadur’s “Coolie Woman”, Bilal Tanweer’s “The Scatter Here is too Great” and Damodar Mauzo’s “Tsunami Simon.”
The book launches also include Neeta Torne’s poetry collection translated also in Konkani, Hindi and English as well as journalist Sandesh Prabhudesai’s books in Konkani and Marathi, besides English.
Goan author Maria Aurora Couto’s new book “Filomena’s Journeys” will be launched as a curtain raiser, on the eve of the Lit Fest, on 4 December, by veteran Indian novelist Shashi Deshpande.
All other books are in English.
