'Garje Pandharpur' at Kala Academy on Wed

The devotional music dedicated to Pandharpur would resound at Kala Academy next week with a special programmed ‘Garje Pandharpur’.
The programme, organized jointly by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (Goa region), Kala Academy and Suryamandal of Dongri, would be held on Wednesday, 24h July at 4 pm.
It coincides with Golden Jubilee celebration of Suryamandal of Dongri.
Renowned singer Pt. Ajitkumar Kadkade and his disciple Kishor Desai, both from Goa, would present some rare compositions of the saint poets Dnyandev, Tukaram etc. including Abhang, Goulan and Bhaktigeet.
They would be accompanied by Rohidas Parab (Tabla), Prakash Vagal (Harmonium), Vinod Mayekar (Pakhawaj) and Ulhas Dalvi (Tal).
The entry would be free, but with passes which are available at Kala Academy counter, said programme officer Dr Dattaguru Amonkar.
