Sporting Club signs Cameroonian Bong

Sporting Clube de Goa has signed up Cameroonian striker Bertrand Benik Tequwa Bong for the 2012-13 season.

He will replace James Moga, the highest goal-scorer for the club, who has now moved to Pune FC.

Peter Vaz, president of Sporting Club de Goa, said Bertrand has played in Cameroon, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Oman and in the high-profile Qatar league with Al Saham.

His vast experience will help the team do better this season. Sporting had finished eighth in the I-League in the last season.
