Cong cross-voted at Presidential election in Goa; 3 to 6 MLAs

Election of President has created yet another political turmoil in Goa, due to cross voting on the Congress side.

While NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind is elected 14th President of India, Goa has recorded cross-voting for the election, along with Delhi.

Newly elected President Kovind got 25 votes in Goa while Congress candidate got only 11 votes.

Two votes got rejected on technical grounds.

Congress has 16 MLAs in the 38-member House, after health minister Vishwajeet Rane resigned as Congress MLA to join the BJP government.

On the other hand, BJP MLA Sidharth Kuncalienker also resigned to pave way for Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to contest from Panaji.

The ruling coalition in Goa  is 21, with 12 BJP, 3 each of MGP and Goa Forward and 3 independents.

NCP MLA Churchill Alemao is not known to be on which side.

Goa’s BJP President Vinay Tendulkar also confirmed that they got 25 votes while Congress got only 11 votes.

The question thus remains: how many Congressmen cross-voted?

If both the votes rejected belong to the ruling coalition of 21, then it means 5 Congressmen cross-voted.

If both the rejected votes are of Congress, it means 3 cross-voted.

And if Churchill voted for Congress candidate, then Congress cross-voting is by 6 MLAs.

Sources in the BJP camp disclose that one rejected vote was from the ruling side.

In a similar manner, it is reported that 6 AAP MLAs cross-voted in Delhi Assembly, in favour of Kovind.

Kovind has received over 7 lakh votes indicating about 65 per cent of the votes cast while Kumar lagged far behind with just 3.6 lakh votes or 35 per cent.

If BJP wins Panjim, BJP will rule Goa.

If Congress wins Panjim, BJP will rule Goa.

If AAP wins Panjim, AAP will rule Goa.

Jack De Goan , Goa

Some trapped souls from Congress want freedom and Bhai, who wrote an excellent script for Francis can offer freedom to these souls. Goan public is either completely foolish or cunning like Bhai. Genkarponn is already become fottingponn after a former naxalite leader was turned into selfish puppet by Vijay.

It will be interesting to see how the fottingponn party campaigns for the BJP in 2019 parliament elections. No doubt Vijay does not want trouble with BJP because he has a sword of enquiries dangling above his head for all his misdeeds of amassing a huge wealth without any business. As long as such agents exist, the Indian democracy will never prosper.

ALl those who beat their chests and accused BJP of corruption and misrule are partners in power. ANd now it is rumored that Bhai is sending his special emissary , Atmaram j Nadkarni to Thailand to explore possibilities of importing massage girls in Goa to promote tourism. Gambling, prostitution, sodomy, drugs, paedophalia, and everything can be , allowed as long as it earns revenue to the state. Jai Goa. Jai BHAI. u are a real champion who can not onl keep the opposition on a leash but also one who knows waht Goa and Goams want.
