Vishnu praises AAP, echoes Kejriwal
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 14 June 2016 21:10 ISTBharatiya Janata Party’s rebel MLA Vishnu Wagh is back in action, with a bang, this time praising Aam Aadmi Party.
After recovering from his heart attack, he is back on a Facebook with a long post praising AAP for taking morcha on Mapusa police station against increasing menace of prostitution rackets in coastal Goa.
He has also echoed the concern expressed by AAP supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal about Goa becoming a den of gambling, casinos and prostitution.
This is Wagh’s Facebook post:
“AAP has done well to draw the attention of police authorities towards the prostitution business thriving in coastal Goa. It has turned into a real menace which is bringing ignominy and shame to our state. According to the feedback I receive, some police officers also are helping the pimps in this trade. Govt has to tackle this matter seriously. I will give whatever information I have to the police. In case you happen to know anything in this regard, please don't hesitate”
When asked in this regard, Wagh laughed out any political motive behind his FB post singing praises for AAP.
“Such actions need to be appreciated because prostitution rackets are on rise and there are raids conducted every day by the police”, he commented.
Wagh also alleged that business like rent-a-car and professions like escorts are being used to carry out sex rackets in Goa.
He also alleged that some police officers are hand in glove with the pimps in running sex rackets.
“I have gathered quite a lot information in this regard. I am prepared to share it if police asks for”, he told Goa365, a local TV channel.
Wagh however does not stop at the police but states that it equally a duty of the government to curtail such activities.
The ruling party lawmaker said the government should see that Goa does not become a centre of gambling, casinos and prostitution, a similar statement what Kejriwal made during his rally last month.
According to the St Andre MLA, prostitution rackets are spreading in Goa like Octopus and becoming a danger to the social life in the tourist state.
“Goa needs to attract family tourists, not the ones who come here to satisfy their sexual and gambling lust,” said Wagh.
