Ministers' report card by Sept: Parrikar

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today said he would review the performance of his cabinet colleagues in September.

"I will review the performance of the cabinet ministers in September when I will complete two and a half years in the chair. It's a mid-term review," Parrikar said, talking to reporters here today.

When asked if there would be a cabinet reshuffle, Parrikar said there would be only a review.

The Parrikar-led government came to power in March 2012 after the BJP's landslide victory in the Assembly elections.

He made minor changes in the allotment of portfolios after completing one year.

The Chief Minister today also said that his government would notify the policy on the contentious issue of medium of instruction in state-aided schools within eight days.

The draft policy of the government says that aided schools must have either Marathi or Konkani as the medium of instruction upto the standard tenth.

But Parrikar said the draft policy would undergo minor changes in the wake of the recent Supreme Court judgement, which stuck down Karnanata government's decision to impose Kannada medium at the primary school level.

"We will have to slightly redraft our policy by interpreting the Supreme Court's judgement. We were not expecting the SC decision when the (draft) policy was formed. There will be changes here and there," Parrkiar said.

I do not get the impression that the CM Mr Parrikar is corrupt, as far as "Personal Financial Gain ",through corrupt means is applicable. However I cannot be certain about this either.

However I am inclined to think that Mr Parrikars MLA`s are prone to become rich through corrupt means.

In order to keep his seat of power, Mr Parrikar turns a blind eye to his MLA`s & Blue-eyed Government servants to indulge in corrupt financial gain.

PM of India Mr Modi , just yesterday, has justly requested all his Ministers to declare their assets and liabilities. He has also insisted that his Ministers not to indulge in sycophancy , Nepotism and various disguises of "Family Raj Politics.

Will Mr Parrikar be doing the same.?

I am sure every Goan would like to know how wealthy & rich each MLA & Senior Govt. Servants has become since coming to power.

Only a pure & thoroughbred "Goan Fool" will ever believe that none of Mr Parrikars MLA`s are "not indulging in corruption" ,or some form of it.

Will the section, on the CM`s report card on "Personal Enrichment" contain any remarks & figures?.

In my estimate Mr Dilip Paurlekar will obtain the highest marks & a distinction for "Personal Enrichment".

It is expected by the end of his term in 2017 , Mr Parulekar will not only be a Multi- Crorepati/millionaire , but will also be owning(landowner/bhatcar) half of Panjim & Porvorim.

In Addition Mr Parulekar will be the most travelled of all Goa Government Ministers( an out-bound Goan Tourist).

Furthermore to add to the booty, Mr Parulekar will have half of his house filled with Duty -Free goods from his travels.

There are too many ministers for our small state of Goa.

Not only present government but earlier governments also had this unwanted burden of more ministers.

Real credit will go to any CM who can manage with less number of ministers.
