Modi up, Ayodhya down at Goa BJP meet

Narendra Modi will be on a frontline but the issue of Hindutwa and Ram temple at Ayodhya may not even be touched at the BJP national executive meeting beginning in Goa from tomorrow.
BJP spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi in fact made it clear that the party would work out a political strategy for Lok Sabha election, for the BJP as well as 24-member National Democratic Alliance.
“Our ideological commitments to the issues like Ayodhya would never change, but it need not be brought on the agenda every time”, said Naqvi.
The saffron party, which always cashed on Hindu Dharma, today said its main Dharma is Coalition – the NDA.
The party spokesperson in fact said the main issues on the agenda would be internal security, price rise, corruption, unemployment and such related issues.
The office bearers are expected to finalise the agenda tomorrow, for the 360-member national executive that would meet on 8 and 9 June.
Besides assessing the political and economic situation as well as the internal security issue, Naqvi said the BJP would also work out an election strategy for the Assembly elections in six states as well as the forthcoming Parliamentary election.
“May the Lok Sabha election be held this year itself”, predicted Naqvi.
He claimed that the reverse trend against the ruling Congress party has begun with by-poll results of yesterday where the BJP overscored the ruling party.
However, when asked about the indications of the Karnataka Assembly result, Naqvi said it is up to the Congress to evaluate it.
The ruling BJP was pushed to minority in the Karnataka, with the Congress sweeping to power.
Naqvi was also not prepared to reply whether Karnataka result was also a reply to the corruption regime like how voters have defeated corrupt Congress regimes.
