Aires files corruption plea against BJP leader Kholkar

Social activist Aires Rodrigues has filed a complaint against Goa Planning Board vice chairman Dattaprasad Kholkar before the Anti-Corruption Branch for allegedly appointing wife of a Panch as the peon when actually the Pomburpa panch works as the peon in his office.
Anti Corruption Branch SP Bosco George admitted of having received a complaint but denied that any FIR has been filed based on it.
“We will examine the complaint and file the FIR only if we find any prime facie substance in it”, SP George told goanews.com.
After a complaint that BJP leader Govind Parvatkar was cutting a hillock near his industrial plot at Kundai by using vehicles on Government Duty, now there is another complaint against BJP vice president Kholkar for hoodwinking the authorities.
According to the complaint, Diksha Pednekar, who is on the rolls of the Planning Board as the peon, is actually working as a maid servant at an architect’s house in Pomburpa.
In reality, alleges Rodrigues, Diksha’s husband Dhananjay works as the peon in the Planning Board office.
But Dhananjay is a panch from ward number one and no elected panch work as the government servant as per the Goa Panchayati Raj Act, pointed out Rodrigues.
Rodrigues has thus asked the ACB to book Kholkar under Section 13 (d) (i), Section 13 (d) (ii) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 punishable under Section 13(2) of the said Act, as well as Section 193 (for fabricating false evidence), Section 420 (cheating the State’s exchequer, thereby causing loss to the State treasury) and Section 468 (forgery for the purposes of cheating).
