Perverts remove graveyard skulls

The Goa Police are investigating a bizarre crime of displaying graveyard skulls in the open.
Some unidentified persons removed skulls from a graveyard and lined them up along a house, the local post office and a park.
The pervert incident occurred on Thursday night on Diwar Island, 10 km from here.
The residents were shocked to see the skulls lined up out in the open in the morning.
Police found that the skulls had been removed by digging up a nearby Catholic graveyard.
Some crosses there too were damaged. Caetano Silveira, a local, lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.
The island, which has some heritage houses built in Indo-Portuguese architecture style, was recently hit by a spate of robberies.

Probably this is the work of some drunk youth (including Christians cannot be ruled out).
Btw, the 9 skulls were not removed by digging up the graves but they are picked up directly from the 'Bones well'
Every cemetery has a well ( a place for dumping bones and other non-biogradable items such as nylon sarees, gloves, inside coffin cloth velvet type, Coffin metal, wood leather shoes etc.) Items are dumped here only after 3 years or more of a person's burial so that the same grave is re-used for another. When the well (not deep but shallow, usually with 4 sided walls) is neally full, it is set on fire to reduce to ashes. Bones contain phosphorous which help it burning. It gives unpleasent odour though
