CM distributes corporation chairmanships to ALL
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 24 April 2012 01:05 ISTChief minister Manohar Parrikar has finally satisfied almost all the legislators of his party as well as the coalition partners, by distributing them chairmanships of corporations.
It includes nine BJP MLAs as well as one each of the MGP and an independent.
The CM however has kept the chairpersonship of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation to himself.
The chairmanships distributed are as follows:
Nilesh Cabral: Goa Tourism Development Corporation.
Carlos Almeida: Kadamba Transport Corporation.
Kiran Kandolkar: Horticulture Corporation.
Michael Lobo: North Goa Planning and Development Authority.
Rajan Naik: South Goa Planning and Development Authority.
Subhash Faldesai: Information Technology Corporation.
Ganesh Gaonkar: Scheduled Tribe Corporation.
Glen Ticlo: Housing Board.
Lavoo Mamledar: Handicrafts Corporation.
Benjamin Silva: Khadi Village Industries.
Pramod Sawant (Vice Chairman): GSIDC.
I am very hurt that Mr. Parrikar has not kept his promise that no Corporation will be headed by any MLA but only
by professionals. In fact when Goans brought in the change they thought he was heading in for the right direction.
Whatever his political compulsions may be. He has let Goans down by this move.
These corporations are created not for betterment of Goa & Goans but to be milking cows for the MLA's. They are not happy with the salaries and perks hence they resort to all these things.
Last time when Mr. Parrikar was the chief minister he had closed down Goa Housing & Finance Corporation which was opened to accommodate Shri. Franciso Sardina by the Congress, when he had lost the election to the Goa Assembly from Curtorim. And which he milked till the blood came out in the milk and its employees were left on the streets to beg for themselves.
Mr. Parrikar, are we to believe that the honeymoon period is over ? It looks like since you are going ahead with the MOPA airport project. Is not Dabolim Central to Goa ? Or are you ready to gift this piece of land to the Indian Navy ?
Is this for what Mr.Matanhy Saldanha stood for by your side all these years? And what can we expect with the MOI. Seems like we have to march on the streets again.
he want to keep all of them busy !!!
