"We know consequences of family tickets": Oscar

“We know the consequences of giving tickets to family members. It is a conscious decision”, said Oscar Fernandes, election in-charge of Goa for the Congress.
At a press conference held at the Congress House today, Fernandes fully justified the decision of distributing 11 tickets among five families.
“It was people’s demand and wish of the workers”, he claimed.
According to him, the decision was taken considering winnability of the individual candidates as well as getting majority seats to come back to power.
Mauvin Godinho, the Cortalim candidate and party spokesman, felt the situation has arisen because the Congress failed to build winnable candidates in all these constituencies.
“It was not prudent to give so many tickets to few family members. Yes, it is weakness of the Congress”, he said.
There is a new concept of Democracy emerging in Goa.It is called "of The Politicians , By the Politicians & for The Politicians & their family enrichment.Is this what is called these days by Indians as "INDIA SHINING" ?
What was wrong with Monarch? Justifying so many tickets to be distributed among a few families under the pretext of winnability or the wish of party workers looks funny.What is winnability? Does it come by the huge wealth amassed while in power? Or is it the capability of misusing muscle power to threaten the voters?
It is a disgrace to see no Investigating agency or Constitutional Body ever equipped with necessary teeth to nail the corrupt....
Till what time will this use of money and muscle power continue to be used to grab power?
Would the ideologies, values, morality always taking a back seat in our democracy?
I think Oscar Fernandes is trying his level best to justify his stupidity and sheer ignorance.I guess in 5 years time this winnability will still be a factor, and the same idiots will be given tickets (many times richer thru corruption.).People have not demanded tickets for family and neither the aspiring Block Congress Members.Oscar is tryimg to pull wool over a sheeps eye.What most of us must consider is hiw much Oscar Fernandes has been paid for his choice by the family of family aspirants.I guess Churchill Amemao and Monseratte have paid Oscar a handsome amout of money for his kind considerations.We all know this.
