Will ruling BJP destroy Babush or protect him in the rape case?

Will the rape case involving Babush Monseratte be used by the ruling BJP ‘politically’? It may use it to finish Babush or to protect Babush, feel different political outfits.
Incidentally, those who reacted on the shocking incident are activist-turned-politicians, not the hard core ones.
But all of them are demanding fair and pressure-less inquiry into the case, where St Cruz MLA Babush allegedly ‘bought’ a minor girl, seduced her with drinks and then raped her.
Prabhakar Timble, president of Goa Forward, expects an inquiry without any political pressure from the ruling BJP.
“The case is serious, no doubt, but we have to remember that Babush recently defeated the BJP panel in CCP election and also wants to take BJP head on in Panaji in the Assembly poll”, he observes.
He fears that the ruling party may simply exploit this case to finish Babush politically.
Babush has also termed it a political vendetta while denying the charges as bogus and false.
Dr Oscar Rebello, another activist-turned-leader of Aam Aadmi Party, feels otherwise.
“I fear the BJP may use the case to win over Babush in support of the BJP in the forthcoming Assembly election”, says the Taleigao resident.
He feels the probe should be impartial without the BJP trying to fish in the troubled waters for its political gains and safeguard its Panaji seat.
The Babush-Parrikar hidden alliance in the Assembly polls is an open secret where both help each other win the polls.
Dattaprasad Naik, who had lost on the BJP ticket against Babush in the last election, however feels confident that his party would give justice to the victim girl.
There were similar cases in the past, but Babush could manage to escape since the Congress was ruling.
“I am confident that my party leaders won’t interfere in the police investigations but allow the law to take its own course”, says the prospective BJP candidate of Taleigao.

Oh really? If Babush cannot decide between right and wrong, pervert and moral, then he has no business to be in public life. You cannot justify 'Rape of a minor' by saying he was coaxed into it, blah blah blah!
You will sink to any level to justify even rape and abuse of a minor.
The Courts will decide whether Babush Monserrate is innocent or guilty but the rule of law and parity must prevail at all times. Anyone involved in any crime should never be spared however high or powerful he or she be. There cannot be one yardstick for Tarun Tejpal and the Louis Berger case while another in going very soft in dealing with cases against Manohar Parrikar, Dilip Parulekar and the other law breakers connected to the BJP.

No wonder the common man is losing his trust and faith in the criminal and justice delivery system which has become warped as the political bosses are conveniently manipulating the affairs to their whims and fancies. Is the BJP fearing Babush Monseratte and in an attempt to rein him in, just before the elections, making this a game-plan which will play as a repeat of the Tarun Tejpal episode?
