Justice Rebello sworn in as Allahabad Chief Justice
PTI, ALLAHABAD | 26 June 2010 19:20 ISTJustice Ferdino Inacio Rebello was today sworn in as the chief justice of the Allahabad High Court.
He was administered the oath of office by Uttar Pradesh governor BL Joshi at a ceremony held inside the court premises which was attended, among others, by Advocate General Jyotiindra Mishra and other members from the bench and the bar.
Born on July 31, 1949, justice Rebello began his legal practise in 1973 at judicial commissioner's court, Panaji.
He started practising at the Panaji bench of Bombay high court in 1982 where he made a mark in service, constitutional and local self-government matters.
He was elevated to the position of an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court in April, 1996, and became apermanent judge two years later.
Before taking up his latest assignment, justice Rebello was a senior judge at the Mumbai high court.
Before joining the high court as a judge, Justice Rebello has played an active role in the social and political spheres of Goa.
Hope u will these chief ministers and justice will get off their back side and susagad atitude thattakes years to solve a simple case looks like they are too old and corrupt robbing the country and feeding the money to their treasure chest and to their family.
I really dont see the chap making any difference mark my words these are all old men with big pockets to fill. Bear in mind there is a God watching and your offspring will not go unnoticed by him, as the sin of the parens are visited to their children.
He will not make a difference he has not so far.
Wow! Imagine having a Chief Justice for a big brother, I am so proud of you.
The rise to the top has come with years of hard work and dedication and hopefully will serve as an inspiration to our Goan youth.
