Nadia's family codemns second autopsy

Family members of 28-year-old Nadia Torreado, who allegedly committed suicide by consuming rat poison, has accused police of harassing them on the pretext of investigation.
The police today morning suddenly lifted her body from her Loutolim house, where locals had gathered for her funeral. Her body was brought to Goa yesterday from Chennai.
"The police ransacked our entire house and are asking us to say which we don't want to," Nadia's brother Romelle Torreado told PTI.
He said the family has decided to approach Human Rights Commission complaining against the "high-handed behaviour" of the police when the family is grief-stricken.
"We were supposed to have a funeral this morning. But during the wee hours, we were served notice that a second postmortem will be conducted on her body," Romelle said.
Police raided Nadia's house at Loutolim village as well as a flat on the outskirts of Margao yesterday. The searches were going on till early hours today.
Radharao Gracias, lawyer of the family, has also condemned the police harassment. "Why was autopsy needed to investigate the charges of abatement,", asks Gracias.

Is Goa and Goans safe? Let Goans ponder - it will change the fiasco of this small state within the state of corrupt rotten and downgraded politicians, drug peddlers and mafia police circles. This state like Russia is altering its face due to misuse of tourism culture and free flow of high grade drugs. Even the interstate bus drivers are in drug trade and how Nadia's family be spared for the second autopsy? This family and her own husband knows what is in store for him to reveal the truth of his late wife....this things are normal in Russia and Goa is in this trauma.....May God bless Goa. Advocate Gracias has a point. Once it has been proved that the deceased died after consuming rat poison and it has been alleged that she was forced to take that recourse. That should be sufficient to bring charges of abetement.
Was there a need to hurt and disturb the feelings of the deceased loved ones at this critical stage?
