Difficult to check 'sophisticated' drug trade: Parrikar

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said that narcotic drug menace in Goa could not be checked due to the sophisticated nature of the racket.

"About narcotic drugs, I am really worried. The sheer sophistication of the racket ensures that the police is unable to nab the culprits," Parrikar told the State Legislative Assembly.

He claimed that foreign nationals were involved in the narcotics trade.

"Narcotics drugs is one issue which worries me," Parrikar said during a discussion about demands for grants for the police, fire and emergency services.

The chief minister stated that the police department has begun paying handsome amounts to informants tipping off the police about the narcotics trade.

He also appealed to members of the Assembly to provide information about any narcotics activity in the state. "Once I get the information, I will crack down on them," Parrikar said.

Mr Parrikar for a start, does not have to look very far for the Drug Trade sophistication.

1. .Most of it is conducted, at Shacks on the beaches.

2. Many Goa Police personnel are involved in it .

3. A few Ex-Congress MLA`s ,are heavily involved in it too.

4. The main international culprits are the Nigerians, Russians and Israeli`s.

5.The main Indian Drug Cartels are run by Nepali`s ,Kashmiris & North Indians.

6.The ever increasing Music Festivals all over Goa, are rife with Drug use.

7.Major Drug convictions are quite rare in Goa.They are more likely to fail. Ask Goa Police Why?

Youth these days cannot dance anymore, without pumping themselves full of narcotic substances.

Beer , Feni & other "Spirits" do not provide the correct rhythm or trance state anymore.

No country ,however advanced/civilised....or sophisticated, has managed to curb the Drug Menace.

Goa is highly unlikely to succeed, either.....just yet!!
