CCTVs at all Goa showrooms inspected, Crime Branch to probe Irani case

Following Smriti Irani incident of CCTV capturing her in the trial room of Fabindia, the Goa police have started inspecting all the CCTV cameras in all the showrooms.
After union HRD minister Irani raising an alarm over a CCTV camera found pointed at the trial room she was in at Fabindia outlet at Candolim, the police have already sealed the showroom and taken into custody its four male employees.
The police have also moved into action, inspecting all the showrooms, which have trial rooms.
“I have instructed the police in North Goa to check the trial rooms and if any CCTV camera pointed towards the trial room or inside the trial room since it is a very serious issue”, said Umesh Gaonkar, North Goa SP.
Meanwhile, chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar, who is presently attending the BJP national executive in Bangalore, said he had instructed the police not to spare anyone involved in such kind of ugly acts.
Goa government has also shifted the case the Crime Branch of Goa police to investigate.
The police have filed case against the four male employees as well as the franchise owner and the manager of Fabindia outlet.
The Digital Video Recorder, confiscated by the police, was found installed in the manager’s cabin.
The manager was on leave today.
