VHP statement wrong, but it's freedom of speech: CM

Goa’s BJP chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar as well as Aam Aadmi Party have objected to Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s plan of Ghar Wapsi of Goan Christians.
“Nobody should disturb communal harmony of Goa”, said Parsekar, reacting to Baba Vadak’s statement.
Vedak, while announcing Virat Hindu Sammelan in Goa, had offered to convert Goan Christians, who were converted during Portuguese regime, if they wish to, not forcefully.
The comment however has irked all cross sections of Goa, especially when it comes from VHP in the background of ongoing Ghar Wapsi controversy.
“Goa is a favourite tourist destination of the whole world since it is known for its communal harmony. Nobody should disturb this harmony”, said Parsekar.
However, when asked whether he would take action against the person made this statement, he said: “We have freedom of speech, thus I cannot go against the fundamental right of any Indian citizen.”
Comparing this statement to prime minister Narendra Modi’s statement in the Parliament yesterday that his government has no other agenda than India First, AAP felt it either meant that the BJP have lost all influence and control over the Sangh Parivar organizations or we are being fed the classic good-cop-bad-cop routine to allow Mr. Modi to establish an image of secular statesman while the so-called "fringe elements" slowly but steadily go mainstream.
AAP also welcomed Parsekar’s reaction but exhorted him to follow it up with action.
“The Government and its Home Ministry must explicitly instruct the Goa Police to take strict and immediate action against any attempts of force or coercion, as well as any misuse of government machinery or even tacit support by government personnel sympathetic to such ideologies”, said Walmiky Naik, Goa’s ad-hoc secretary of AAP.
I guess the Hindu fanatics and radicals, will never sleep well or die happy until all faiths in India are converted to Hinduism.
This could only be achieved through bloodshed.
I expect the conversion rate in Goa will most likely be 0.000001%.
Goan Hindus are an enlightened lot. They are very progressive in their outlook of life. They are unlikely to support the VHF or Ghar Wapsi.
Goan Hindus are not suckers of nonsense from these Hindu radicals.
All Goans should welcome Hindus along with all other faiths to have their Sammelans whether for Religious, Tourist or Corporate Incentive purposes.
Faith is a matter of personal choice. A calling of the heart more than the mind. It is what gives people peace of mind.
The VHP must explain why people should convert to Hinduism if they are at peace and happy to be Christians or Muslims or Sikhs or Jains or Buddhists or...
I note that it is called Vishwa Hindu Parishad. I hope that they have Global ambitions to spread Hinduism across the globe. Of course this must be done in a peaceful manner by doing good works in the field of charity, healthcare, old age homes, hospitals, schools, colleges etc etc.
The ancient Hindu "way of life" must be be spread by doing good works across the globe to 6000 million non Hindus. Then there will be no need to worry about the small number of 25 million Christians in India.
This will be the real test for the Christian BJP MLAs. If they allow Ghar Wapsi and Love Jihad in Goa then Goans will teach BJP Christian MLAs a big lesson for taking Goans for granted. Goans are quiet but not cowards. Christian BJP MLAs has to resign and bring down BJP Government if Ghar Wapsi takes place in Goa.
