Nigeria House unanimously demands probe into 'Goa attack'

The House of Representatives of Nigeria, on Wednesday, mandated its committees on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora to investigate circumstances surrounding the reported gruesome murder of a Nigerian and illegal incarceration of 53 others in India.
The resolution of the House was sequel to a motion of urgent national interest moved by Honourable Yusuf Ayo Tajudeen, entitled: “gruesome murder of a Nigerian and illegal incarceration of 53 Nigerians in India,” where the lawmaker said “one Nigerian was allegedly killed and five others severely wounded on October 31, in the Goa region of India, by people suspected to be members of a local drug cartel.”
The lawmaker added that the development followed a peaceful and legitimate protest by Nigerians against the murder of their compatriot, noting that the police, acting on the orders of Goa’s Chief Minister, Monahar Parrikar, forcefully arrested and incarcerated 53 Nigerians living and working in the Goa region of India.
Honourable Tajudeen further noted that “the Chief Minister of Goa, Parrikar further issued directive to the police to commence clampdown and possible deportation of Nigerians in the resort state of India.”
According to him, “Siolim and Parra village councils have resolved to start a racist campaign by ejecting Nigerians from these villages,” stressing that the unfortunate incident may affect the economic fortunes and social relevance of over 50,000 Nigerians engaged in legitimate and lawful businesses in India.
To this end, he maintained that “possible escalation of the crisis is capable of eroding the age-long diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and India,” adding that “it may affect the official and bussiness interest of vast number if Indians in Nigeria, who have serially benefited from our nation’s benevolence since pre-Independence.”
When the motion was put to vote by the Speaker, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, who presided over the session, it was unanimously approved by members present at the session.

Nigeria will protect its world renown corrupt citizens, and Goa will protect its world renown corrupt Police & Bureaucrats.
The media war thus far, is being won by the Nigerians. The Nigerian Government believes, that their folk in Goa are innocent "Angels".
The India Mission( High Commission) in Nigeria(Lagos) that issued the Visas to Nigerians must have copies of their Applications. Why is this not being used to verify the Nigerians who have destroyed their documents to stay in Goa?
Every person (Tourist) visiting India for whatever purpose..i.e Tourism, Business, Medical Treatment, etc must provide 2 photos along with their applications.
Why cant these be used to determine the status of the illegal Nigerians?
