Std XI seats available in Agro studies
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 03 June 2013 09:30 ISTWhile students are struggling to get admission for Std XI, the newly opened Agriculture School has made 25 seats available.
Keeping in mind the immense scope agriculture has in Goa today, Ramanata Crisna Pai Raikar School of Agriculture has been opened at Savoi Verem in Ponda taluka from this academic year.
“Admissions are open and few seats are still available”, said Mangirish Pai Raikar, the promoter of the school.
The school has kept limited seats for the first year, only 25.
According to Raikar, the XII pass out students from the Agriculture school would have lots of scope, including higher studies with BSc in Agriculture.
Besides being self-employed in agriculture, students could also opt for teaching line to teach the vocational course of agriculture in Std X, said Raikar.
Perhaps students do not know about the School of Agriculture.
Media should give wide publicity to this new school so that parents and students know about the new Agriculture School and the scope for those who pass out from this school.
I feel that those who quality from Agriculture School and pass St.XII, will have good scope to come up in life.
More ITIs should also be opened in Goa with new job oriented courses.
Yes, agro studies are excellent! But before any Goan takes up these courses, he or she will have also to take a decision of moving out of Goa to achieve excellence after finishing their courses!! The fact is erstwhile government of Goa has concretized more than 3/4th of agriculture land from Goa!!
