Youth Congress threatens stir against Playboy

Goa Youth Congress has threatened to come on streets if the Playboy Club is allowed to be set up in Goa.
Goa Youth Congress president Pratima Coutinho said they are opposed to the concept of the Playboy Club.
“Vulgarity is not our culture to be promoted”, she said.
Replying to a question, she also said the Youth Congress would not bother even if it was promoted by a Congressman.
Former Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes had promoted the concept of Playboy, to be set up allegedly in his property, in Candolim.
Though tourism department has taken ahead the proposal even during the BJP regime now, Calangute MLA of the BJP Michael Lobo has strongly opposed it.
Coutinho, when asked about involvement of a Congressman, preferred to remain silent on it.
“At present, the BJP government is taking it ahead”, she said.
The Mahila Congress has already opposed Playboy while the state BJP has expressed its opposition.
The issue is expected to come up in the Assembly for a debate on Monday.
