Terekhol to have a golf course

Goa state tourism minister Dilip Parulekar told the state legislative assembly that the government has approved the proposal to set up a golf course at Terekhol village of Pernem taluka.
Parulekar said that the committee constituted under the chairmanship of the earlier tourism minister has accepted the offer of the New Delhi-based Leading Hotels Ltd, to set up a PGA-standard golf course with allied services.
Leading hotels was selected by the committee after following all formalities, he said.
The group has already prepared a detailed project report and feasibility report, which have been forwarded to the union ministry of tourism for examination, under the large revenue generation scheme.
However, they made some observations on which clarifications are being furnished, he said.
The state government is also examining offers made by other groups like Gold Resort and Hotels Pvt Ltd, Haryana, Opus Hotel and Resorts Pvt Ltd, Bangalore and Corporate Club of India, Bangalore, the minister said.
Bhushan, you absolutely hit the bulls eye man. A few years ago I visited the Terekhol fort and was virtually driven off the property because I was not a guest at their hotel. Instead of preserving the fort as a heritage site, Wilfred D'souza sold it to some of his cohorts. And now Parrikar et al. are going to do the honors by selling what is left of the beautiful Terekhol which is piece of pristine natural beauty. This is shameful.
people of goa wake up. Parrikar has joined hands with vishwajit in sellout of goa. Please understand what has happened. Terekhol is a c shaped hill at the bottom is a small cluster of houses. It is not even a village but a ward of keri village. Now entire hill is sold. So boundries of goa has shrinked to just a few houses. Company will soon buy them out. Now river tillari/terkhol is the new northern boundry of goa. It's just like giving kashmir to pakistan
an entire piece of goa is sold permenantly and there is no whisper! What has gone wrong with people? Already terekhol fort was sold to nilaya hotel. Now entire village land. What is left is only a few houses. Border of goa has just shrinked and the thieves who sold goa are enjoying. Vishwajit rane and sangita parabs son first made agreement conning innocent villagers who dint understand what they are selling. Now parrikar, parulekar and parsekar instead of arresting vishwajit for this scam has joined him in sellout of goa. What the civil society of goa doing? or are everyone bought over by land mafia ?
this is not limited to terekhol alone. Iv heard alorna fort region if not fort is sold out. Goas boundries in kankona, palolem, and poigunim in south goa have changed. One sanatan builder has built a british coloney in sanguem. There are foreign colonies all accross goa be it foreigners or indians. And all 40 mlas are sold out to land mafia. Goa news successfully led us against sanatan sonstha and mutalik. You need to raise a campaign against this issue. Maybe independent mlas like sardessai and rohan can help. Govt needs to be asked to come out with a white paper on entire goan land sold to nongoans. Goa news should come out with a map of goa showing land in goan hands, land with central govt, state govt and land no longer with goa. This is a very big issue. Parrikar is trying to fool goa with special status. If all the land is already sold out who will get special status, cassinos? Or fish in the water or crows in the sky?
