HC allows Lyndon to withdraw bail plea

The Bombay High Court bench today allowed Lyndon Monteiro, close aide of former Goa Tourism Minister Mickky Pacheco and co-accused in the case relating to the death of a woman, to withdraw his anticipatory bail petition from the case.
In the order, Justice U D Salvi said the prosecution has no objection to Lyndon withdrawing his anticipatory bail application and it should be allowed to be withdrawn.
Lyndon's lawyer Atmaram Nadkarni said that his client was made accused after he disappeared.
"When he is missing and his anticipatory bail was rejected by sessions court, overnight he becomes an accused? How is this permissible under the law?" the lawyer asked.
Seeking Lyndon's presence when he has applied for anticipatory bail nullifies the very base of asking for the plea, he said.
Goa should now resort to "KANGAROO COURTS" similar to the one existing in Tamil Nadu. "Justice denied is justice gained" in Goa: Even your own lawyer "parts with you" to the opposition if he or she is offered a handsome reward to close your mouth.
To keep common man's faith in the judiciary, it is essential to evolve mechanism for speedy disposal of cases and clear lakhs of pending backlog in various courts ! Even a schoolboy knows that justice delayed is justice denied! Long live our democracy!
