BJP's Subhash wins 80% seats in Sanguem

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Subhash Phaldesai has managed to retain the Sanguem municipality with him by winning 80 per cent seats.
Phaldesai-backed Swabhiman panel got a huge victory, winning 8 out of 10 seats.
While he clearly got 7 seats from the panel, the eighth seat also went in his favour.
Phaldesai had remained neutral here since there were two BJP workers contesting against each other.
The other two seats were won by the independents.
No Congress supporter won in Sanguem.
