4th Alemao Yuri gets NCP seat in Sanguem

Yuri Alemao would the fourth candidate from Alemao to contest election, this time from NCP, in Sanguem.
The Congress has already given three tickets to Alemao family – Churchill in Navelim, Joaquim in Cuncolim and Churchill’s daughter Valanka in Benaulim.
Yuri is Joaquim’s son.
The Congress-NCP has a pre-poll alliance.
The other two candidates declared by the NCP are former MLAs – Jose Philip D’Souza from Vasco and Nilkanth Halarnkar from Tivim.
It is yet to declare four more seats.
Good to see so many family members from a few families manipulating tickets to grab power. This could help in keeping the wealth collected in the same family and help in taking decisions at home without calling formal meetings......What is that in Politics that attracts so many ? Is it the urge to serve the poor, or the urge to collect wealth for next ten generations? But one thing appears clear that the system has been degenerated to discourage honest people from seeking entry...?
