Maharashtra government today said it would soon float tenders for a Mumbai-Goa water transport project.
"Tenders will be floated for a Mumbai-Goa water transport project," Industry Minister Narayan Rane told the Legislative Council in reply to a question.
He also said the government would take back lands given to private companies which fail to construct ports in a time- bound manner.
"Lands will be taken back after ascertaining whether it is agricultural land or MIDC land," he said.
