Nearly 500 deaths, but 93% of Covid19 patients recovering now

The death toll of Covid19 is now nearly 500 in Goa, but the recovery rate has improved tremendously in the last 10 days.
Goa has reported 70 deaths this month, at the rate of an average of seven deaths every day. This is a little less than last month.
In the first 10 days of September, Goa had lost 76 lives and 234 in the full month, at an average of eight deaths per day.
But it’s definitely much more than August when we lost 36 lives in the first 10 days and a total of 150.
It means the death rate is not coming down to date after it shot up last month.
Secondly, one month of September has recorded 47 percent deaths of the total tally. And 10 days of October have recorded 14 percent deaths.

BEST RECOVERY RATE
But the recovery rate of Covid19 patients is also quite satisfactory. Though the average recovery rate has been 86 percent, it has actually reached 93 percent this month.
Out of a total of 5015 Covid19 positive cases reported since 1st October, almost 4652 patients have recovered.
70 patients succumbed to Covid19 this month, taking the total toll to 499.
In August, the recovery rate was only 81 percent, in fact little less than even the national average. But the recoveries improved in September by almost 10 percent.
And now, it’s 93 percent.
As per the media bulletin of Directorate o Health Services, a total of 28,993 Covid19 patients are being treated at this moment.
Out of this, 18,434 (64%) are in home isolation while 10,559 (36%) are in the hospital.
To date, Goa has reported 37,934 Covid19 cases, out of which 32,777 (86%) have recovered.
