Parrikar mum on apology demand

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday refused to comment over Congress' demand to tender a public apology over his statements on some former Prime Ministers compromising country's ‘deep assets’.

Parrikar, who was in Panaji to accompany party's official candidate Siddharth Cuncolienkar to file nominations for the by-poll, ducked questions on the issue and remained tight-lipped.

The Minister had kicked up a storm with his allegations that some former Prime ministers had ‘compromised’ the country's ‘deep assets’.

Congress had demanded that he should give evidence to back his claim or tender a public apology.

Parrikar had made these remarks during an event in Mumbai while referring to the coast guard operation involving a boat coming from Pakistan.

He had said he did not give details about the incident as the source might be compromised.

"After all, you have to build deep assets. Deep assets are created over 20-30 years. Sadly, there were some Prime Ministers who compromised deep assets," he had said.

Congress on Friday called the charge serious and demanded a public apology.

Following my comment made on the 25th of January, a day before Republic day I am just wondering if Mr Parrikar has made another U-Turn on his dress sense..

As every media in Goa & India too has reported, his Dress sense as a CM of Goa and now Defence Minister of India has become questionable.

So has the Defence Minister made a U-turn by dressing FORMALLY for the Republic Day function and in being in the presence of International dignitaries.?

Goans were euphoric when the Mr Parrikar & BJP were elected in 2012.

However I now feel that many Goans are realising and sensing that the BJP made many false promises and have been mis-led ,in their manifesto.

Has Goa got any better with the BJP since 2012?

Answer = NO

Has the lives of Goan improved since 2012?

Answer = NO

The Goan economy is floundering. Tourism is declining. Garbage is increasing. Burglaries are rife and now conducted on a daily basis. The rule of Law is gone to sleep. BJP MLA`s think they are Gods or some deities.

Can Goa be saved?

I can only predict, that the BJP MLA`s will now become very rich or super rich ,while Goa will burn.

The wheels of slow death have started moving.

Mr Parrikar is more suited to Rural Politics.

He is still arrogantly convinced, that all Goans and now Indians too are ill educated or less educated than him,that he can say and do as he pleases.

He sometimes believes the use of "words" is more convincing than the use of plain common sense or even logic.

He certainly does not possess the calibre of a National or International Politician.

His dress sense, is more suited to a Goan Village jamboree.

Goan Politicians are now bringing shame on the State of Goa & Goans ,with their idiotic and most stupid of public utterances.

Now I begin to wonder if GOD made a silly mistake in the appointments of Parrikar, Laximkant Parsekar and Tawadkar as Goan MLA`s.
