MNS member's gang sold 47 tiger nails

Tiger nails seized at Margao stall
Investigation has revealed that three persons, who sold tiger nails, included a Maharashtra Navnirmal Sena card holder.
The Nasik-based trio also confessed to forest officials that they had already sold 47 tiger nails at an ongoing consumer exhibition-cum-sale in Margao at Rs 10,000 each.
They were arrested red-handed by Range Forest Officer Dyaneshwar Kudalkar, when they were left with only three tiger nails.
The forest officials acted on a complaint filed by an alert citizen, who found that the Maharashtrian boys had put up a stall of Ayurvedic herbs but were actually selling tiger nails.
Ahmed Patil Jamkar among them was found with the membership card of MNS, led by Raj Thackeray.
The other two are Kalu Rangnath Uike and Suraj Raju Jamkar.
The team, who were disguised as consumers at the exhibition-cum-sale, included Quepem RFO Minguel Fernandes, Round Forester Devidas Velip, Forest Guards Rahesh Mirashi, Anupama Jadhav and member of wild life resque squad Damodar Polaji
The trio has been arrested under section 9 (prohibition of hunting), 39 (dealing in wildlife items in government property, 44 (dealing in trophy) and 49-b (prohibition of dealing) of Indian Forest Act.
