A Singapore-based ship broke off Goa coast, around 500 nautical miles, with its containers floating in the high sea.
The ship learnt to have been carrying arms and ammunition, for Syrian rebels.
As per the agency reports, the news has been confirmed by Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar.
Accordingly, Goa government has alerted all the security agencies, including Coast Guard.
The information reveals that the ship was even carrying bombs, besides arms and ammunition.
The major worry of the authorities is not the ship but the containers floating in the sea.
The ship is reportedly drifting towards Goa coast.
However, efforts are learnt to have been made to repair the ship.
