Mandovi Exp engine catches fire

The railway engine of Mandovi Express caught fire yesterday, but was brought under control immediately as the train had reached near Chiplun station.
The incident occurred yesterday at around 1.30 pm, when Mandovi Express had left Anjani station.
As the engine suddenly caught fire, the train driver immediately alerted Chiplun station master and brought the train to the station.
The fire brigade brought the fire under control within half an hour.
The train was going to Goa from Mumbai.
In fact the engine was changed at Roha station as its original engine broke down.
The train finally left for Goa at around 4 pm, with a third engine.
Due to this accident, Mangla Express as well as Diva-Sawantwadi Express also got delayed.
