4 more bodies recovered, death toll reaches 26

The rescue teams and the vibration-free concrete breaking machine today removed four more bodies, taking the official death toll to 26 in Canacona building collapse mishap.
However, only one body of a worker from UP could be identified.
Three other dead bodies as well as one removed yesterday are yet to be identified.
Two dead bodies, which could be seen yesterday under the debris, were removed with manual rescue squad of the fire brigade, said Ashok Menon, director of Fire Brigade.
Latter, the rescue work was taken over by the vibration-free concrete breaking machine brought from Pune.
It reached by afternoon and started its work by 2 pm, with absolutely no vibration or even sound.
Two machines were seen working at the rescue site, one breaks the concrete while another one collects the debris.
The same machine helped in recovering two more dead bodies of the workers.
Till now, the rescue teams have thus found 26 dead bodies while rescuing 22 workers trapped inside the debris after the five-storeyed building collapsed like a pack of cards on 4 January.
According to information gathered by authorities through various sources, at the most three more bodies could be found.
