Narvekar's son Ganeshraj expelled for 6 years

The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) today expelled Ranji player Ganeshraj Narvekar for six years after he was accused of forging a birth certificate to play in junior level tournaments.

The decision by the GCA came in the wake of a probe initiated into the issue of false birth certificates submitted by the player to qualify for junior teams.

"The decision has been taken following the three-member committee's report led by Akbar Mullal. There are several controversies surrounding the player and the issue of forged birth certificates which is being probed by the police is very, very serious," GCA Secretary Prasad Phatarpekar told reporters here.

Ganeshraj is the son of ousted President Dayanand Narvekar, who was the head of the GCA for almost a decade and was also a vice president of the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI).

Earlier this month, acting on GCA member Shekhar Salkar's complaint, the police filed a chargesheet against Ganeshraj, his father, also a former deputy chief minister and his mother for forging the certificates, which enabled the over aged cricketer to play in the junior inter-state tournaments.

There are far more "skeletons", that will be falling out of Dyanand Narvekar`s cupboards.

His life on Mother Earth, has been one big "fraud".

Corruption is his best talent.

He thinks and behaves, like a Bollywood Star.

Hopefully we could soon see him in "SADA-WOOD" Jail.!!
