No reply to Govt's affidavit: Claude

Goa Foundation has neither filed a reply to the Government affidavit nor has any immediate plans to file the reply before the Supreme Court, clarifies Goa Foundation chief Dr Claude Alvares.

He has also clarified that the decision in this regard would be taken only if their advocate Prashant Bhushan decides to file a reply.

Goa government, in its affidavit before the apex court, had made several allegations on Goa Foundation.

The NGO recently came under fire with Goa government in its affidavit alleging that the Foundation has misguided the court as well as the Centrally Empowered Committee on the issue of mining.

In fact the government even went to the extent of saying that the ban on mining activity was a result of Goa Foundation's action of approaching the supreme court, when the government was actually trying to streamline legal mining.

Dr Claude Alvares has however now clarified that "Goa Foundation has not filed any reply to the Government affidavit. Please have patience. We will release all the information only after advocate Prashant Bhushan's office gives a go ahead".

elvis , panaji:::

You are absolutely correct.

There are 40 of them "BARKERS",in the Legislature and a few on the side-lines.

It is a policy of:....

"Wealth for a few and misery for the many"

One of them called Dilip Parulekar, has decided to call himself the Best "Hangman" in India.

Goa was called a Rape Capital, Drug Capital ...and now we have the Hangmans Capital of India.
