A Marathi and a Kannad film would premiere at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2011, to be held in Goa.
`Bhageerathi', a Kannad film, and Marathi film `Bharat Mazza Desh Aahe' will feature in the Indian Premier Section of the festival, said the spokesman of Entertainment Society of Goa, the nodal agency.
`Bhageerathi' is directed by Dr Baraguru Ramchandrappa while `Bharat Mazza Desh Aahe' is directed by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar.
IFFI would be held from November 23 to December 3.
The inaugural function of the 10-day festival would be held in Margao, 35 km from here.
Bhageerathi is based on a Kannada folk ballad, `Kerege Haara' (a sacrifice for a tank).
"Bharat Mazza Desh Aahe" (India is my country), starring veteran Vikram Gokhale and Uttara Bavkar, is a story of a joint family, experiencing declining values.
