Malaysian firm buying Goa's Leela for Rs 725 Cr

Debt laden Hotel Leelaventure Ltd that runs Leela chain of luxury hotels has entered into a so-called business transfer agreement to sell The Leela, Goa, to Malaysia-based conglomerate MetTube Sdn Bhd for Rs.725 crore.
The property is being sold through Ceres Hotels Pvt. Ltd, a unit of MetTube. Leelaventure will continue to operate the hotel under Leela brand for a management fee.
