Wendell designs uniform for CBI
PTI, PANAJI | 23 September 2014 18:31 ISTNoted fashion designer Wendell Rodricks has designed uniform for the enforcement department of CBI, which he says is a garment that will strike fear.
"Happy and proud to have done this. A Wendell Rodricks garment that will strike fear. Uniforms for the all India Enforcement Department of the CBI. Hope they don't come knocking on any of your doors", Rodricks put a status on his Facebook page.
The designer has handed over the sample of the uniform to the CBI officials, who had approached him to design it.
"They contacted me after I received Padmashree award. I agreed for it. It is a light and simple kind of uniform," Rodricks, told PTI today.
"I don't know when they are going to implement it. We did a sample and handed it over to them," said Rodricks, who had earlier styled Goa Police's blue-white uniform, which is currently used for traffic police personnel.
The designer said that he has not charged fee for designing the uniform.
"This is what I did something for India. I did it completely free of cost. There are some things which you do for money and some things which you do for the country," he said.
The black uniform with a red logo, styled for CBI, is different, he said.
"At one level it indicates authority and at second level it has identification. People should respect the person in this uniform," Rodricks added.
