No(n) co-operation with MGP, Mickky also gets minor portfolios
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 15 November 2014 20:43 ISTThe ‘new’ government of Laxmikant Parsekar, remote-controlled by defence minister Manohar Parrikar from Delhi, appears to have begun open confrontation with its alliance partner – the MGP – by stripping off ‘junior’ Dhawalikar of his influential portfolio of Co-operation.
Mickky Pacheco, a new entrant in the cabinet heading two-member Goa Vikas Party, has also been given minor portfolios like rural development as well as archives and archaeology.
The major portfolios held by Parrikar and Parsekar earlier have been distributed among their own BJP colleagues.
After Mickky and Avertano Furtado were sworn in at Raj Bhavan today afternoon, Parsekar distributed the portfolios.
Denying home as well as finance, deputy chief minister Francis D’Souza was added with Parsekar’s health and Parrikar’s town and country planning.
A major jolt was however received by BJP’s ‘trusted partner’ – the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party.
Though they did not touch PWD minister Sudin Dhawalikar, his younger brother Dipak was left with no Co-operation, the major portfolios he was holding for the last two and a half years.
Parsekar has retained most of the major portfolios of Parrikar, including mines, education, home and finance.
While industries minister Mahadev Naik has been strengthened further with co-operation, sports minister Ramesh Tawadkar has been entrusted with Agriculture.
Similarly, Parsekar has given his panchayat portfolio to water resources minister Dayanand Mandrekar.
No major additional portfolios have been given either to the two-member MGP or one-member Goa Vikas Party, headed by Mickky.

BJP want to finish the coalition politics era. BJP shunned its natural ally MGP & Shiv Sena to make it a reality of 1 party Government. Mickky's GVP inducted is to checkmate MGP like BJP did for Shiv Sena by inducting NCP in Maharashtra. BJP has became matured and well playing politics.
