How do I benefit with Mauvin in BJP, asks Parrikar

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has ruled out the possibility of admitting Congress MLA Mauvin Godinho into the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

A possibility in this regard was expressed by Godinho himself, in an interview to a local TV channel.

“Why should I bother when I have a clear cut majority”, he asked.

According to him, the law does not permit any MLA to quit a party and join another one while being the MLA.

“In such a case, how do I benefit if he leaves the party”, asks Parrikar.

He also said he was not aware of Godinho’s plan of resigning as the MLA and contesting once again from Dabolim on BJP ticket.

The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party has said that Dabolim belongs to them and not the BJP, as per their understanding in the BJP-MGP coalition.

PWD minister Sudin Dhawalikar – the MGP leader - has clearly stated that Dabolim seat, if fallen vacant, would be contested by the MGP and not the BJP.

Godinho, who has been sidelined in the Congress, had favoured the BJP candidate in the ongoing Lok Sabha election while his workers had publicly joined the BJP campaign.

Following this, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President John Fernandes had said action would be initiated against Godinho for anti-party activities.

Babaush, Mauvin, Micky, Caitu & Avertino Should Join BJP. They Are Indirectly Supporting BJP. Better They Support Directly And Get A Ministerial Post For Each.
