Hindu Mahasabha to contest Goa poll, opposing Mahatma, SRK and beef

Opposing Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology of Ahimsa and even his photo on the Indian currency notes, the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha will contest all 40 seats in Goa election, appealing for total ban on beef and even to boycott films of Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

When he released his controversial book ‘Nathuram Godse: The Story of an Assassin’ on the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation on 30 January, he said he does not belong to any political outfit.

Within a month, on the occasion of the 50th death anniversary of Veer Savarkar, author Anup Sardesai has announced himself to be the interim president of the Goa unit of Hindu Mahasabha.

While announcing the formation of the Goa unit in Madgao today, he has also released a programme with which the Mahasabha would move from house-to-house.

Medium of Instruction would be one of the prime issues the party would take up, while opposing the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Goa as well as at national level.

Gandhi’s ideology of Ahimsa and Satyagraha is more concerned about the human rights of criminals rather than common man while the country is involved in anarchist activities like Bharat Bandh, Hartals and Rasta Rokos, stated the programme.

“It is time to bid good bye to Gandhian methods of Ahimsa and Satyagraha and adopt Savarkar’s methods of Neeti and Anushasan to save this country from total destruction”, he said.

The eight-point programme released by the Mahasabha has the first prominent demand to replace Gandhi’s photo on the currency note with Ashok Stambh, stating Gandhi is certainly not superior to nation’s emblem.

The Hindu Mahasabha not only demands total ban on beef but also products like toothpastes, medicines etc made from cattle remains.

It also demands ban on inhuman atrocities of animal slaughter but does not mind sale and consumption of meat, provided animals are given painless death.

The Hindu Mahasabha also wants to take up a door-to-door campaign to unsubscribe ‘anti-national’ channels like NDTV, India Today and ABP while also urging people to boycott films and books of ‘anti-national and anti-Hindu’ celebrities like Shaba De, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan etc.

While promoting Indian languages as the MoI, the Hindu outfit also wants amendment of Article 30, not allowing religious minority groups to run schools but to bring all schools under government control.

The Hindu Mahasabha has also blamed the BJP government for betraying the people by appeasing minorities like the Congress and not fulfilling its promises like Go-Raksha bill, anti-conversion bill, solution to Ram Mandir and abolition of Sharia.

The other office bearers of the Goa unit are Sardesai’s brother-in-law Sidharth Yaji as the working president and three secretaries – Ankit Salgaonkar, Shashank Arsekar and Vaidehi Karekar.

Why are these so called Hindu Sabha Party interfereing with the peaceful and brotherhood atmosphere in Goa. They think that Goa belongs to them and they can dictate terms to others. Please stop this nonsence and let the Goan live in peace. All right thinking Goans should dismiss their idea totally.

This is a positive development for Bjp. Now no one can blame Bjp for being associates and supporters of Hindu Mahasabha. As for prospects, this is just a stunt to check mate Bjp lead govt in Goa.

This declaration would have sounded better if it was made on April 1. While some points make logical sense, i would say, the demands are hypocritical and foolish. I am sure, some of their children are currently studying in schools run by minority groups. Since they do not like the photo of the Mahatma on the currency, they are probably not using currency, but using credit cards, which is also a western concept....What type of neeti are they trying to promote by belittling the minority community and other rights of minorities and humanity in general which are constitutionally awarded to all Indians?

Indians and Goans should allow them to protest and speak their minds, since they have the right to do so. At the end of the elections they will find out where they stand......

Jai Hind..
