BJP kicks off election campaign from tomrrow
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 05 April 2013 21:12 ISTThe ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is beginning its Election Abhiyan from tomorrow, the 33rd birthday of the party.
Besides national issues, the local ruling party plans to blame the central Congress for not helping the mine affected Goa financially.
BJP local president Vinay Tendulkar said the party would begin house-to-house campaign from tomorrow.
The issues like price rise, failure to control terrorism and scandals of UPA government would be a major highlight of the campaign, said local party spokesperson Dr Wilfred Mesquita.
“What did the Central government did to help the mine-affected people when our BJP government helped them financially”, asked Dr Mesquita.
Tendulkar said the party cadres would create public awareness on the difference between the Congress and the BJP rule by comparing Goa and Central governments.
They have chosen BJP’s formation day to begin launch the state-wide campaign.
The Lok Sabha elections are now hardly one year ahead.
