NT says John sacked, GPCC claims it's 'paid news'

A major controversy has broken out over a media report that Congress president Sonia Gandhi has sacked eight-month old Goa president John Fernandes.
While Navhind Times, Goa’s leading English daily, carried headline news today in this regard “Sonia sacks John as GPCC president” without quoting anybody, the GPCC office has flatly denied it.
“The news is totally baseless and looks like a part of Paid News. The news has been planted by some Anti Party Activists and disgruntled elements,” said a press communiqué issued by the GPCC.
According to Navhind Times headline, Gandhi signed the file of sacking Fernandes late last night.
The reasons cited by the newspaper report are like making baseless allegations against opposition leader Pratapsing Rane and his MLA son Vishwajeet of extorting huge amount of money from a mine owner Bhalchandra Naik.
The SIT is presently investigating into it and they have just been granted anticipatory bail by the court.
While the new GPCC headed by Fernandes has initiated inquiry against several Congress leaders for anti-party activities, the leadership sacked two party leaders – former minister Alex Sequeira and South Goa district president Subhash Faldesai, for anti-party activities.
Valanka Alemao, daughter of Congress rebel Churchill, has already been removed as the Youth Congress president.
Churchill had quit the party and contested as Trinamool Congress candidate in the Lok Sabha poll since the party did not give ticket to his daughter Valanka, from South Goa.
The newspaper report claims that Luizinho Faleiro would take over as the new party president while Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginald Lourenco would be an interim arrangement.
“Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Condemns the news and request the press to kindly confirm any news from the Party Office,” said the press communiqué issued from the GPCC office in this regard.
Many mothers & wives will know this.... When something domestic gets too old, too dirty, too rotten & beyond its peak value...it must be discarded.
Many men & boys know, when their cars & bikes & Computers start making funny noises, are corrupted, are difficult to operate & beyond repair...it is time to discard them or leave them in the hot Goan sun to rust & turn back into iron ore.
Most Goans think it is time the Congress Party too discards all its old ,rotten, & beyond any fruitful use MLA`s.
If as claimed "a new broom sweeps clean", then this must be good ,for the Congress too.
Most of the Congress MLA`s have salted away enough corrupt money to feed 10 more generations of their families.`
Many readers will have by now, read or even seen in the news ,the shocking slaughter/beheading of an American Journalist Jim Foley by Islamic State terrorists in Syria.
The terrorist, who it is claimed is British of Egyptian origins has been called "Jihadi John" by his fellow terrorists.
It seems like the Congress Party in Goa has one of their own called "Jihadi John ( Fernandes).
Jihadi John (Fernandes) in Goa is currently
on a spree to cull the Congress MLA`s that have been dis-loyal to the Party, during the recent LS elections.
What a strange co-incidence I must say.
