Scarlett's mother wants pre-launch screening of 'Anjuna Beach'

Fiona Mackeown, mother of slain British teenager Scarlett Eden Keeling has expressed her desire to see the movie 'Anjuna Beach'--based on the death of her daughter--ahead of its release.

Ukranian beauty Nataliya Kozhenova is playing Scarlett in the movie which is produced by Sikandar Khan and directed by Shakeel S Sai.

The ten-day shoot of the movie was done at Anjuna beach, the spot where Scarlet's bruised semi-nude corpse was found on the beach on February 18, 2008.

"My daughter has been murdered. So its not about whether I would be happy or not that the movie has been made but I would be interested in seeing it before it is released," said Fiona, who is now in Davon, UK.

Two locals Placido Carvalho, an alleged drug peddler and Samson D'Costa, working in a beach shack, are facing trial in a Goa Children's Court in connection with the case.

"The filmmaker had not consulted us before finalising the story. So we don't know what is being shot. If there is any distortion of facts then we will take legal action against the filmmaker," said Vikram Varma, Fiona's lawyer.

"We cannot stop people from shooting but if they release the movie while the matter is subjudice, they would be inviting proceedings under contempt of court too," said Varma.

The lawyer said the filmmakers would be well advised to contact him to establish the facts of the matter, as the movie is clearly not fiction but is being advertised as a movie on the facts of the matter.

The first look of the movie unveiled by the filmmaker introduces the film as 'The Real Story' of the murder of Scarlet in Goa, Anjuna beach on 18th Feb 2008. It further adds: Introducing Nataliya Kozhenova as Scarlett Keeling.

The movie has Kiram Kumar playing the role of public prosecutor and Iranian actress Farhanaaz as Fiona.
