No veg supply has stopped: Govt

Goa government’s horticulture corporation has claimed that no supply of vegetables from the neighbouring states has stopped.

The official press communiqué has termed the stoppage of vegetable supply as ‘mere rumours.’

The imposition of entry tax on vehicles coming from outside Goa has become a bone of contention as truck operators from Belgaum and Kolhapur have given a call to boycott Goa.

However, official statement of Goa State Horticultural Corporation stated that “the supply of vegetables at GSHCL outlets all over Goa will continue as normal.”

The Corporation has also appealed to the people not to panic.

It has made it clear that neither the vegetable suppliers nor the transporters are party to the threatened agitation.
