This was confirmed by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar today during the cabinet briefing.

The doctors had immediately conducted angiography followed by angioplasty, clearing two blocked arteries.
While he was advised bed rest till he fully recovers, the Kala Academy chairman had started his regular activity and had even conducted three-day long round-the-clock Kavya Hotra poetry programme, coinciding with his birthday on 24th July.
From next day, the deputy speaker also participated actively in a three-week long monsoon Assembly session.
Wagh was rushed to the GMC hospital once again yesterday while he was attending a programme at Kala Academy.
Sources in the GMC revealed that Wagh’s condition was critical and his heart had literally stopped functioning for almost eight minutes.
However, with frantic efforts of doctors, he was revived and has been on a ventilator since then to stabilise his blood pressure, which had zoomed up.
“He will be under observation for 24 more hours, but he has stabilised”, said CM Parsekar.
He also appealed to the people not to spread rumours about Wagh’s health.
