The House would assemble at 11.30 am, but only to be adjourned till Monday.

“No business of any kind would be taken up in the House”, said speaker Arlekar.

The state government has also declared state mourning for three days, to pay condolence to sudden death of a minister.

When all the attempts of the team of doctors failed, Dr Oscar Rebello suggested to the CM to go home and take rest.

we lost one of the biggest person by heart and the most wanted person in the parrikar Govt... hope others learn from his deeds and save goa to make a state of true heaven....

He was one of my favorite politician as a person of principles.

He was the only UGDP MLA stood with Parrikar govt during 2003, untouched to Horse trading and dirty politics held during that time. he was a good teacher too.

His demise is a loss to all the Goans and also a fracture to clean politics in Goa.

May his soul rest in peace.

Many Politicians who ruled Goa for last few years need to learn many good things from the life of Shri Mathanhy Saldanha...and try to follow them....If they do that they will be serving Goa better....May his soul rest in peace....

He was a thorough activists and worked throughout his life for upliftment of poor. There were lot of expectations from him and as a forest minister he would have surely put the people behind bars who have done imense digging for iron ore. I hope Parrikar will carry on with Saldhana's vision.

His commitment to human equality and democracy made him an outstanding leader even in his short period as Minister...

Monumental loss to Goans and personally for Parrikar.

I remember he once said, "I am not a weather-cock to change positions as the weather changes."

More so, especially since he was among the more learned politicians and a man of principles and integrity, a very rare qualities among the present breed of politician.

Rest in Peace.
