No corruption in my Govt, assures sworn in CM Parrikar

Newly sworn in chief minister Manohar Parrikar has promised that there will not be any kind of corruption in his government.
“Zero tolerance towards corruption would be our motto”, he announced after he was sworn in as the CM.
Governor K Narayanan administered him oath of secrecy at a public function held at Campal ground, first time ever outside Raj Bhavan premises.
Francis D’Souza, Sudin Dhawalikar, Laxmikant Parsekar, Matanhy Saldhana and Dayanand Mandrekar were also inducted into his cabinet today evening, in the first phase.
Besides thousands of people, BJP’s senior leader L K Advani, national president Nitin Gadkari, Lok Sabha leader of opposition Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Aarti Mehra also attended the ceremony.
He assured the audience that the work to implement the assurances made in the manifesto would begin immediately.
The youth of Goa henceforth would not need to go outside Goa for jobs or take jobs in Goa by paying bribes.
He also assured to bring down petrol prices by 2 April and double the old age pension, as assured during election campaign.
He also plans to take up the issue of regularising malaria workers, though it would take at least two months due to problems of framing recruitment rules.
Later, Parrikar had his first cabinet meeting.
