New Govt in couple of days, Digambar resigns

 

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance will form a new government within couple of days.

BJP leader Manohar Parrikar, tipped to be the chief minister, made the announcement after elected legislators met informally.

Meanwhile, Digambar Kamat submitted his resignation as the chief minister to the governor.

He has been told to continue till alternate arrangements are made.

Central BJP leaders Venkaiah Naidu and Ravi Shankar Prasad will arrive in Goa tomorrow, to formally elect the legislature party leader.

“After that we will have a meeting with the three MGP legislators and two independents – Avertano Furtado and Benjamin Silva”, said Parrikar.

He also said the immediate priority for the new government would be to present the budget and also constitute the Lokayukta.

In the meanwhile, advocate general Subodh Kantak also resigned.

Congratulations Mr. Manohar Parrikar / Bhai / Our Dynamic Chief Minister - for winning the hearts of Goans again with extreme majority, ......laga laga laga re Congress ko Jor ka Jhatka Dhire se laga....We are now again waiting for the development & reduction in Unemployment. Priority is - VAT Tax; based on which the sixth pay is paid to the government employees. and how far this structure is working in Goa. Also about the contract workers. and implementation of new business policies.

The new government should have professional Tax to the saleried employees as it is the case with Maharashtra Government. All the employees who come under the tax bracet will have to pay the tax to the income tax office under government of india. The professional tax will go to the state Government. Why not give it a try.

The challenges before the new Government are many. How to stop the mining loot, how to stop drug peddling, how to reduce corruption at every step, how to raise resources, how to restore the law and order, how to stop breaking of temples and churches, how to carry all sections of the society, how to recover the loot of public wealth done in last few years, how to set free the media from the clutches of the vested interests, how to bring about developmental activities, how to keep the team together for next 5 years, how to improve the falling standards in education, how to reduce debt burden on the next generation, how to stop flow of thousands of crores of revenue from Goa to Centre, how to demand more funds from Centre, how to develop the infrastructure like roads, power supply, water supply, how to generate more jobs , how to bring green industries, how to control mining menace......etc...
