India seeks world support

India has requested the whole international community, and especially the western countries, to wholeheartedly support its war against Pak-sponsored terrorism, like the support was rendered to the USA in an event of post-11 September tragedy.

"I hope they understand that there cannot be two standards to measure the agony of people in the US and in India", said union minister Venakaiah Naidu. He is on an election campaign in Goa.

"We will teach a fitting lesson to them (Pakistan), come what may", said the senior minister in the central government, addressing a press conference here. He also informed that India will write a request to all the countries in this regard.

Naidu also expressed regrets that Pakistan has always gone back on its promises in spite of India repeatedly exhibiting her intention of restoring peace along the border, by starting a bus, inviting Pakistan president General Musharraf to India and also through limited cease-fire.

Stating that India's patience has now run out, the union minister appealed to the international community to view it as it was viewed at the time of fighting the terrorism that affected the USA.

Though reiterated that India will fight its own battle and is not dependent on any outside force, Naidu however felt that international opinion on the issue is also important. "Creating awareness all over the world is also important", he added.
