Cong sets up committee to introspect

Congress has decided to set up a special committee to find out the reasons of its miserable defeat in the recently concluded Assembly election.
Congress-NCP slipped down from 19 to mere nine seats. The NCP could not get a single seat.
Also the Congress could not get a single new face elected except Jennifer Monseratte, wife of St Cruz MLA Babush Monseratte.
The new Assembly has however elected 18 new MLA, including 10 from BJP alone.
The other new faces include all five independents and one each from the MGP and the Goa Vikas Party.
“We failed to project achievements of the government during our campaign”, felt former chief minister Digambar Kamat.
He jointly addressed a press conference yesterday along with GPCC chief Subhash Shirodkar.
“The part would decide its strategy only after reviewing the performance of the Manohar Parrikar government for six months”, said the former chief minister.
A decision regarding the new opposition leader would be taken by the central leadership, said Shirodkar.
The Assembly session would begin from 19 March, before which the party needs to elect its legislature party leader, who would obviously be the opposition leader.
The duo has listed Family Raj, MoI issue, Regional Plan, environment and corruption as the major issues responsible for party’s debacle.
Besides the report of the special committee, the party also plans to get feedback from all the individual candidates and send it to the high command.
“At my level, I would tell the high command not to give tickets to one family”, said Shirodkar.
Interestingly, Kamat declined to comment on whether he should have been projected as the CM by the party.
On the day of results, Kamat had told the media that the scene could have been different if he was projected as the CM.
Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho, on the other hand, felt that party made a mistake by removing him the chief of Congress campaign.
He was replaced last with with Poriem MLA Pratapsing Rane, who never led any campaign anywhere in Goa.
"Any such debacle is an opportunity to re-vitalise the party. This is right time to induct new faces into the party," said Godinho.
IF THE CONGRESS HAS TO FIND OUT THE ROOT CAUSE/S OF ITS DEBACLE THEN, IT SHOULD BE A COMMITTEE COMPRISING OF BJP ELECTED MEMBERS & NOT THE CONGRESS CANDIDATES. AM ASHAMED THAT A PERSON LIKE DIGU HAS BEEN A CM OF GOA. HE NEVER HAD ANY QUALITIES TO EVEN BECOME AN ELECTED MEMBER. ALL THE NON-GOANS FROM SCRAP-YARDS, MOTI-DONGOR & OTHER SENSITIVE AREAS HAVE VOTED HIM. I WOULD GO ON TO SAY THAT, ANYBODY ELSE FROM MARGAO WHO HAS VOTED FOR HIM IS A CROOK. DIGU WILL SOON MEET HIS FATE ONCE SHAH COMMISSION REPORT IS OUT. YOU WERE BETTER PLACED WHEN YOU WERE WALKING ON THE STREETS OF MARGAO WITH CHAPPALS & NOT SHOES.
Margao MLA got elected only due to votes from non goans.Kamat only allowed goa to be looted.If he was given another chance he would have converted whole of goa into monti dongor,fakirnagar,azadnagar..He never had any respect for goa and is beautiful land.I am happy that there is a change in government.Only sad that this MLA along with the ranes and monseratte should not have been elected and should have been kicked out.Rane thinks he is the self crowned maharaja of goa.
Kamat u need to go and learn the meaning of development and You should know to respect the beautiful place called goa and the goans.
Corruption, arrogance, loot, cuts, commissions, nepotism, encouraging casinos, growing wealth of politicians, increasing debt burden on State, lack of infrastructure development--power, water, roads, bridges, etc--neglect of agriculture, auction of jobs, mining loot coupled with low royalty, allowing huge flow of revenue from State to Center, going to HC for every silly thing, ..medium of instruction issue, promoting incompetent sycophants in important positions, Casinos, drugs, crimes, temple and church robberies.......are some of the reasons...let the committee members speak to the common man and not prepare a report sitting in their Offices......
People lost faith in Congress. The only alternative for election lost heavyweights of congress party is to beg pardon with Micky and join his GVP party
Dear Mr. Digambar Kamat, what are you speaking about the achivement's of the previous Goverment. Which Achivement - Looting Goa and the poor people have nothing to survive on
- Converting all the green zones into cemented structures
- Corruption
- Awful Administration of the state
- A goverment without vision and without proper reforms - What Mr. Narvekar commented about you is really true, you dont suit to occupy the CM chair.
Concentrate more on giving family tickets give 40 each for Rane, Monsorette, Alemao, Naik - Congress will win all 40 seats ......!!!
Your useless governance has put the blame on Family Raj.
I am sure if Mr. Parrikar performs well even if he gives 10 tickets to his family members all 10 will be elected because he knows governance and not a loot.
Shame on you guys that people like us earlier supported the congress party.
Mr. D.K. It's surprising to us, when the whole nation knows about the peak level of corruption by your congress party within GOA and each and every part of our country, isn't it quite foolish to find any other reason than this of your defeat in GOA ?
Its very ridiculous to see that , being corrupted how you people can act as it if you are totally clean ????
So please don't waste your time in finding the reasons of your defeat, the only and only reason the congress will be wiped of from our country is "Corruption".
So pls spend your time in self realization and accept of being corrupted .
