Bollywood, Industry, Cricket will glitter Goa Sunbrun this year

Asia's largest dance music festival Sunburn has now matured into a holiday destination for fans and Bollywood celebs with several big stars expected at the upcoming edition in Goa, say organisers.

"We expect Bollywood friends to attend the festival with their families this year. Sunburn has been very popular in Bollywood because of its entire setting and choice of music," Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept, told PTI. However, organisers have chosen to keep the names of Bollywood celebrities under wraps.

In the last few editions, celebrities like Sameera Reddy, Priyanka Chopra, Varun and Rohit Dhawan, Neha Dhupia, Yuvraj Singh, Kapil Dev, Vineet Jain, Pawan Munjal, Arjun Rampal, Rajdeep Sardesai, Rana Duggabati, Ayan Mukherji, Anil Ambani and others have marked their presence at the event. Sunburn Goa 2014 scheduled from December 27-29, should be no different, Singh feels.

Singh said this year, the biggest attraction would be the main stage. "It will be an eye opener for everybody. Nobody must have seen the stage of this magnitude in size and quality in Asia," he said.

Organisers say this year there is a lot of focus on underground music.

"We have lot of focus on underground music. Big names are coming to perform. It will be a lethal combination of commercial, house and underground music. The fans will get to meet, up close and personal, some big names of underground music, like Paul Oakenfold, Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, Sasha, etc," he said.

"Sunburn wants to create a musical experience for fans of all genres. In 2014, Sunburn (brand) has done 212 events in 78 cities across India. Sunburn Goa, Dec 27-29 is the most apt conclusion to the most outstanding Season 8," he added.

This year, Sunburn is promoting a unique experience for people who come before 3 pm to the festival, as Sunburn wants to promote the idea of friendship in sunshine with music.

He said although tourism season is not so encouraging in Goa, the event is expected to have large footfalls.
